In a recent article on Business Wire, Geico filed suit in Lakeland, Florida focusing on five companies and six people that are suspected of submitting auto windshield, chip repair, and other fraudulent glass repair invoices.
Geico as well as other insurance companies like Farmers Insurance, and American Family are not messing around, and if you read our blog, you know this is just the start! The insurance companies have hit the tipping point where auto glass fraud claims are out of control, and impacting the bottom line for consumers and insurance companies!
The coming year will be very interesting as we seen a monsoon of Insurance Companies implementing mandatory inspections, filing suit against auto glass companies for fraud to set examples, and lobbyist seeking auto glass legislation reform throughout the United States.
